12 Most Badass Monologues In Movie History

3. Col. Nathan R. Jessup: A Few Good Men

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j2F4VcBmeo Because of that opening line, this is Jack Nicholson at his very best. He passionately defends what he views as a means to an end; death is necessary, words are just words and actions mean everything. The way he regards the court with that powerful glare...if you watch the scene he barely blinks, so caught up is he in his own delivery. You might not agree with Colonel Jessop's defence, but you sure can't deny his convictions. This monologue has such passion that it elevates this scene as one of the best courtroom dramas committed to screen. Like many of these moments listed in this article, this monologue is what makes A Few Good Men such a memorable film.
