12 Bafflingly High 2018 IMDB Scores You Will Not Believe

8. Smallfoot (6.7)

Smallfoot 2018
Warner Bros.

If you put any faith at all in IMDB ratings, this wildly forgettable animated film is apparently better than the Nicolas Cage-starring cult classic Mandy, which scored an absurdly low 6.6.

Smallfoot, meanwhile, is pretty much exactly what you'd expect to get if a movie studio had an algorithm to auto-produce an inoffensive family animated film for mass consumption.

It is completely soulless yet not quite bad enough to irritate, with a cast of talented actors lending their mostly anonymous voices to characters whose names you won't care to remember.

6.7? Really?

The Score It Deserves: Again, it's not aggressively awful or anything, and it gets a small measure of credit for its anti-"Fake News" sentiment, but it's the potato salad of animated films: bland and insubstantial. 4.7 feels about right.
