12 Bafflingly High 2018 IMDB Scores You Will Not Believe

4. The Christmas Chronicles (7.1)

The Christmas Chronicles Kurt Russell
Netflix

According to IMDB, this Kurt Russell-starring Netflix Christmas film is better than Annihilation (6.9) and on par with First Reformed (7.1). Just...no.

In fairness, The Christmas Chronicles isn't a bad movie at all: it's a perfectly fine piece of holiday froth with an entertainingly game performance from Russell, but nothing more than that.

Somewhat amusingly, a look at the rating demographics reveals that women consistently rated the film higher than men, particularly in the 45+ age bracket.

Given that this is a movie they can watch with their kids and grandkids while soaking in the sublime sexiness of Kurt Russell, it actually makes a lot of sense.

The Score It Deserves: This is a three-star movie all the way: entertaining but not particularly memorable. A 6.0 for sure.
