The first of a pair of oddly specific Selina Kyle centred written screw ups in The Dark Knight Rises, this one really does defy any explanation, particularly given how often fans of Christopher Nolan laud the attention to detail featured in his films.
As our hero Bruce Wayne peruses the day’s papers in search of some backstory for Ms. Kyle (more on her moniker later), he comes across a story regarding the mysterious cat burglar that made off with some valuable jewels, plunging Gotham’s upper crust into disarray.
However the headline claims that “Police Suspect ‘Cat’ Burglar In Jewel Hiest”—which is not how the word ‘heist’ is spelt, and weirdly sets the scene for a later, very similar gaffe in the same context…
