5. Kyle Reese Is A Terminator - Terminator Genisys
The Theory: Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is a super-advanced T-5000 Terminator who doesn't know it, much like Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) in Terminator Salvation (because Genisys hasn't already re-hashed enough, right?). Being a T-5000 (the same model as Matt Smith's Terminator) explains why he is unaffected by the MRI machine (which attracts the John Connor T-3000), as well as his being totally un-injured after being violently hit by a car and surviving the bus flip despite not wearing a seatbelt (Sarah was) while still continuing to fight off John. And then there's Jai Courtney's robotic acting, of course. Credit to Redditor probablyredditbefore. Why It's Awesome: Because the movie's chronology and realm of logic is already completely out to lunch, so why not throw something else completely bats*** crazy into the mix? Plus, it softens the blow that such a cool, iconic character is played by Courtney. How Likely Is It?: 1/10. Wishful thinking, sadly. Kyle surviving these injuries can probably be put down to bad writing, and to make a second iconic hero into an infiltrator Terminator would risk infuriating the fanbase too much, as well as just repeating the John Connor twist.
