12 Best Movies Starring The Simpsons Actors

2. Dodgeball: An Underdog's Story

Hank Azaria Mystery Men
20th Century Fox

It proved impossible to leave this one off the list, with Hank Azaria delivering a hilarious cameo as a younger version of Dodgeball legend Patches O'Houlihan. This scene by itself makes the movie worth a look, the black and white instructional video promoting the violence of the game and encouraging players to 'target the wimpy kids' is sidesplitting stuff.

The remainder of the cast are totally on board for the hilarity of the film's premise, with Vince Vaughan's down and out Gym owner Peter LaFleur putting a ragtag team together to compete in the national Dodgeball championships. The training regimes are a real highlight, the constant thudding of balls into various body parts proving great slapstick fun.

Ben Stiller is genuinely hilarious as White Goodman, a rival Gym owner who has a Dodgeball team of his own. His over the top cocky persona makes for a villain that can be cheered against and laughed with at the same time, Stiller clearly enjoying not being stuck playing the nice guy.

The final act of the tournament is entertaining but goes for a slightly cliched ending, which Stiller's Goodman recognises in a brilliant post credit scene. The initial ending had Goodman's team pulling off a victory, but the fact that we get to see the good guys win and this hilarious post-credit scene means the right choice was made.
