You could have been forgiven for imagining that Fox would have leapt at the chance to double-down on the success of Logan and the hype around the Deadpool 2 promotional short, but they were conspicuously absent from proceedings.

Or at least any mention of their upcoming superhero projects was.

With X-Men: "Supernova", Deadpool 2, X-Men: New Mutants and X-Force all in various states of production or pre-production - not to mention the confusing status of Gambit - there was a lot to potentially talk about. Instead, we got silence - confusing, frustrating silence.

Hell, even an announcement of Fantastic Four 2 would have been better than that. You have to wonder what the story is - particularly when Simon Kinberg is usually so happy to talk.
