12 Biggest Guilty Pleasure Movies Of 2016

11. Inferno

Inferno Tom Hanks Felicity Jones
Columbia Pictures

The marketing for the third entry into Tom Hanks' Robert Langdon trilogy mounted Inferno as a borderline self-parody, and while the film itself is sadly not remotely self-aware, it's still an hysterically fun time at the movies (especially if you've sunk a few beers first).

With little fuss about a cohesive plot, memorable characters or sharp direction, helmer Ron Howard is free to throw as much daftness at the screen as possible and see what happens.

Much of the fun comes from seeing brilliant actors such as Hanks, Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan and Ben Foster slum it for an easy payday, clearly totally aware they're starring in hot garbage but gleefully sacrificing their dignity for cash.

It's terrible, but also has its share of giggle-inducing moments.
