12 Brilliant Movie Scenes When Actors Weren't Acting

11. Poor Reggie - Bad Boys II

Bad Boys II might not be the most likely method-heavy acting project, but commitment to messing with a young actor did lead to one of the most rewarding moments in either of Michael Bay's surprisingly entertaining films.

In the scene that sees Reggie turn up to meet Martin Lawrence's daughter for a date, the fear in his demeanour is the very real result of on-set torment. When Dennis Greene turned up, he was told in no uncertain terms that Martin Lawrence wouldn't allow him to look him in the eyes or even talk to him. Lawrence kept the facade up too, being legitimately nasty to him.

It resulted in a great scene, and it was all thanks to Michael Bay, who also neglected to tell Greene that Will Smith was going to brandish a gun in his face either.
