Margot Robbie will be playing murdered actress Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's star-studded upcoming crime drama, but this being a Q.T. film and all, there's no guarantee he'll adhere strictly to historical fact.

After Inglourious Basterds concluded with Hitler's face being blasted to pieces with a machine-gun, all bets are off for his new film, which uses the Manson Family murders as a dramatic backdrop.

While it's unlikely that Tarantino would dare depict Tate's murder in his usual grisly style - even he has his limits of taste - it'd also feel like a bit of a repetition for him to again usurp history in the quest for a fun "gotcha!" moment where a pregnant Tate defeats her attackers.

Tate probably will die during the movie, but it'll most likely happen off-screen, yet re-contextualised by Tarantino in typically clever fashion.
