7. Carter Davis (Israel Broussard) - Happy Death Day 2U

It goes without saying that this upcoming horror sequel is sure to feature a ton of death, it being focused on a time loop in which protagonist Tree (Jessica Rothe) is repeatedly killed by a masked assailant and all.

Little is known about the follow-up's premise so far, except that circumstances force Tree to re-enter the time loop in order to once again battle the killer unmasked at the end of the first film, Lori (Ruby Modine), who has been resurrected by the time loop.

One suspects that the motivating incident driving Tree back into the loop will be the death of her new boyfriend Carter (Israel Broussard) in one of the movie's opening scenes.

Given that the current synopsis suggests Tree re-enters the loop voluntarily, it's hard to imagine many other convincing reasons she'd go back in. It'd also allow the movie to subvert the usual damsel-in-distress trope by making Carter the helpless victim instead.

A trailer's probably on the way soon, which will hopefully clear this up.
