The most sure thing on this list by far is the inevitable demise of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Countless clips and images have shown Gwen to be wearing the very same outfit she wears in her famous death storyline in the Amazing Spider-Man #121-122 comics, and from what we've seen so far, it looks like this death is probably going to come at the hands of Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin. It's entirely possible that director Marc Webb is simply toying with comic book fans, though the cast and crew's cagey responses suggest there probably is something to this rumour. After all, it would make sense: it gives Peter the chance to meet Mary Jane in the third movie, and then the more traditional Spider-Man love story can begin. Then again, don't expect a smart director like Webb not to offer up a few surprises and possibly count on our over-confident expectations.
