Perhaps it's lazy to suggest that Han Solo will die having already survived once when his number was apparently up in the original series, but it's simply irresistible to think that the rogue anti-hero isn't going to be killed in the interest of the plot. From what is reasonably assumed about the film, Luke Skywalker will be in self-imposed exile, and something needs to bring him back into play: the threat of the Empire won't be enough, because it's not a new threat. The idea of him trying to come to Han's rescue, to reverse the Millennium Falcon's hero shot in the first film offers a pleasant resolution to the dynamic between Han and Luke, and you get the sense that such a deep emotional wound will be needed to change Luke's outlook. Han probably won't be the only character to die in Star Wars, but he will be the most important in more ways than one. Which other major characters from 2015 films will die?
