5. Fox's Marvel Cinematic Universe Slate Announced
The Announcement: After years of rumours and speculation, Fox finally confirms their own self-contained Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will tie together X-Men, Deadpool and the Fantastic Four. Why It'd Be Awesome: Fans have been wanting it for years, simply because the potential of an X-Men-Fanastic Four crossover movie is too ridiculously great to ignore... as long as Josh Trank's controversial Fantastic Four reboot is at least decent. How Likely Is It?: 5/10. It would be a fantastic bit of PR for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, and no doubt stir up greater interest in the film, as audiences would be sure that Fox are committed to it moving forward. That said, Simon Kinberg, who wrote both Days Of Future Past and Fantastic Four, has downplayed the possibility of a shared universe anytime soon, so unless fans are being intentionally misled, it may not happen.
