12 Cult Classic Sci-Fis You Stupidly Ignored First Time
4. Alien Vs Predator
Ever since viewers caught a glimpse of a Xenomorph skull in 1990's Predator 2, the thought of a crossover between both these mammoth sci-fi franchises captured the imagination of fans. What could possibly go wrong when putting these iconic movie creatures together?
We finally got this dream crossover in 2004, but what we got was Alien Vs Predator. Although it made over half its budget back at the box office, the film was slaughtered by critics and many fans for its flat presentation and tameness. It was even nominated for a Razzie for Worst Remake Or Sequel.
Though not as despised as the sequel, Alien Vs Predator: Requiem, this film's poor reputation has followed it through the years, potentially stopping people from giving it a chance. But if you do watch it, you mind find yourself having a lot more fun with this budding cult classic than you'd expect.
Despite it's admittedly slow start, the action sequences between the titular foes is more than worth the wait during an explosive climax. It might not be as sophisticated or gory as its source material, but Alien Vs Predator is as enjoyable as a monster movie about a Predetator fighting a Xenomorph should be.
