12 Despicable Movie Villains Who Stole Every Scene

8. Frank Booth - Blue Velvet

Dennis Hopper's ultra despicable Frank Booth is the ultimate "bad guy". Few have been able to deliver each line with such ferocious intensity as Hopper, with even the most innocuous of phrases dripping in volatility.

Slated as one of the scariest villains of all time, Booth is genuinely terrifying, each move he makes or words he speaks with the potential to explode into a violent outburst. From the second Booth appears on screen his unstable nature control the tempo of the scene.

He is articulate yet flippant, never allowing the others characters - or the other actors for that matter - to be comfortable during their confrontations with him. It is the sheer unpredictability of not knowing what will set off his rage (and Hopper's astounding charisma of course) that force you to be drawn to the character.

Booth appears to enjoy his psychotic escapades, harvesting some sadistic pleasure out of his actions. This makes the character truly frightening. It is impossible to ignore the presence of this man, a man who thoroughly enjoys being dominant over everything. A wonderfully fearsome villain.
