Now, Brian Yuzna’s Society isn’t quite as sad as a lot of the flicks on this list. After all, when our privileged hero discovers his parasitic rich family really are a bunch of amoral bullies who feed off less fortunate folks, he soon stands up to them and even tears his sister’s abusive boyfriend a new ass before skipping town with his girlfriend and best mate.

Nice one!

Except, you know, everything in the last paragraph is extremely literal, and his family turn to a pack of boneless, body-melding freaks who “shunt” into and through each other’s grotesque bodies in a spectacularly horrific orgy scene which once seen is never, ever forgotten (shout out to the seminal effects work of Screaming Mad George. Screaming mad indeed).

Oh, and in this new context, the ass-tearing is literal too—our hero rips a man’s head out through his anus, turning him inside out onscreen.

Okay, disturbing as it is, it’s still pretty badass (literally, har har).
