5. Wormtail Staying With The Weasleys

If you were directly responsible for the deaths of two of your best friends, the betrayal of all of your other friends and the near fall of the Wizarding World to a Dark Lord, you'd probably find the best place to hide and stay there until your dying die. That would go doubly if you had pretended to die and your apparent murder had locked up one of your most powerful enemies.

Not Peter Pettigrew though. No, he decided, in his infinite wisdom, to stay in his Animagus form - Scabbers the rat - and live as a beloved family pet with the Weasleys for over a decade. You could say this was an ingenious ploy designed to keep an eye on his enemies for word of his master's survival or something, but that would be giving him way too much credit.

Living at the Burrow and Hogwarts is bad enough of a decision, but STAYING there once he knows Sirius has escaped and has the knowledge capable fo exposing him is just plain idiotic. He got everything he deserved.
