6. Tony Created Ultron - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

There is a running theme throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the Starks created many of the villains that Tony ultimately had to face. Ivan Vanko resented the Stark name and believed he and his family deserved more, Aldrich Killian held a grudge against him for not even entertaining the idea of AIM, and Tony himself put Adrian Toomes out of a job.

However, while these villains may have been the indirect results of the past actions of him and his family, Tony literally created Ultron, the maniacal robot that threatened extinction on a global level.

After Loki attacked New York, Tony wanted to put a suit of armour around the world. This came in the form of Ultron, an artificial intelligence programme that, with the help of the scepter, would have been housed within his Iron Legion. The plan was to essentially make the Avengers redundant, knowing that Ultron would tackle any similar threat that came down from above.

Ultimately however, Ultron turned against him because of course he did. Tony was playing God with an alien weapon he barely understood, and while maybe not quite to this extent, he should have seen the potential consequences and realised the risk far outweighed the benefits of such an exercise.
