9. Kurt Russell - Forrest Gump

Kurt Russell has history with Elvis Presley. His first role was as a young boy who kicked The King in the shin for a quarter in It Happened At The World's Fair and he'd later play Elvis himself in 1979 and then later still a criminal intent on robbing a convention at a casino dressed as an Elvis impersonator.

So when it came time to cast Elvis for a brief, blurry appearance in Forrest Gump, Robert Zemeckis turned to the expert to give the character his recognisable voice as he stole Forrest's leg-braced dancing for his own.

You don't actually see him, as the part was physically played by Peter Dobson (best known as Ray in The Frighteners), but that's his voice giving Elvis his dulcet Southern tones.
