11. Jack Nicolson - Lifeguard
One of the most beloved, respected, old Hollywood guys still around, Jack Nicholson has been making movies since the late 1950s. He spent about ten years in the ring making a name for himself, acting in bit parts and screenwriting until he finally made his breakthrough performance in Easy Rider. Even in those days, his on screen mannerisms could be described as somewhat diabolical. For carrying such a madman persona around, Jack's early life in New Jersey was pretty normal. He spent a summer looking out a lifeguard's stand on the beach scoping for sharks and drowning people. It makes me wonder how many people out there at one time could say, "That dude from The Shining? Yeah, he saved so-and-so once."
