I don't know how this works in the England where Orlando grew up, but I can tell you about clay trapping in the Southern United States. On a sporting clays or five-stand range shooting sportsters take out their shotguns in attempts of being the one to blow the most orange clay pigeons out of the air. If you're the shooter than you stand squared off on a platform with everyone standing about five feet behind you for safety. When you say, "pull" the one doing the pulling either presses a button or pulls the level on a machine to throw the clay pigeon. A second later the gun does the rest of the talking for you. The clay trapper is the unshaven, camo-clad lad about the age of eighteen who drives around in a golf cart spitting tobacco and loading up the round orange clays in the machines to be thrown. This would have been Orlando "Every Girl in High School When LOTR and Pirates Was Released Heartthrob" Bloom at a much younger age than when the rest of us met him. Like I said, maybe it's different in England.
