12 Fearsome Movie Villains Who Didn't Actually Kill Anyone

5. Jafar - Aladdin

The central antagonist from the original Aladdin animated film, Jafar is one of the most truly frightening and menacing movie villains in cartoon history. While he is a very worthy entry on this list, his lack of a kill count most definitely didn't occur from a lack of trying.

Brilliantly voiced by American actor Jonathon Freeman in a deliciously villainous British accent, Jafar stands as not just one of the most fearsome villains, but also one of the smartest. The first two acts of the film see him as a cunning trickster looking for a way to take control, each action and relationship intricately plotted.

It is the final act where the character's full destructive force comes to the fore, Jafar's serpent form as scary a creature in animation history. His attempts of murdering Princess Jasmine by hourglass is deliciously evil, and he looks like an unstoppable threat till his vanity gets in the way.

The manner in which Jafar is defeated is extremely clever, as Aladdin uses his lust for power against him. Jafar is the sole positive of the inferior direct to DVD film The Return of Jafar, his intimidating nature coming to the fore once more, even if the film itself feels mighty rushed.
