12 Films So Bad That They Killed Off Their Franchise
4. Grease 2
There's no need to drag this out. Grease 2 is one of the worst films you'll ever see. Period.
While the first film was a lovable, indulgent slice of nostalgia with a killer soundtrack, this film is a complete disaster. It ruins any and all goodwill leftover from the first film within minutes and then has the audacity to continue for another two hours.
The characters are cardboard cutouts, the musical sequences are so limp they fail to register, and the plot somehow involves a lead character rising from the dead.
It is ridiculous and an absolute insult to fans of the original film, acting as little more than a pathetic attempt at a cheap cash-grab. Mercifully, audiences rejected this sequel vehemently and sentenced it to the fate it so rightfully deserved; a lifetime of servitude on the bargain aisle of every store that sold films.
