11. Tom And Jerry

It might not entirely be Disney's fault, but they certainly had a hand in Hollywood believing that the next big money maker is live-action adaptations of beloved animated brands. This year's Detective Pikachu is going to make a ridiculous amount of money off curiosity alone, while even SEGA is getting in on the action with Sonic the Hedgehog, all chasing the ridiculous success of Disney's live-action versions of The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast.

Not one to miss a trick, WB is planning its own live-action film based on Tom and Jerry. The classic cartoon series has enjoyed continued success on the small screen, but the limitations of its appeal have always made a cinematic version seem a little misguided. That isn't stopping WB now though, and while the plot is still up in the air, it's clear the studio is wanting a human to guide their cartoon antics.

Not just any human either, but specifically Jennifer Lawrence. Leaking a snap of concept art on Twitter, Daniel Richtman has revealed that the studio is eyeing that actor as the basis of what they're looking for in the project's lead role. It probably won't happen, but JLaw could offer the star power this project needs.
