For all of the complaints about Spectre, it was a nostalgic triumph that will rank higher than Skyfall for fans of retro Bond movies (particularly those who like Bond more than Bourne) and it was very entertaining for the most part. Yes the Blofeld reveal wasn't exactly the most elegantly dealt with thing and there were some silly bits, but it's a Bond film in the oldest spirit (and that's something that's been lost recently). The big issue though is in James Bond's superheroic recovery after he is bound and tortured by Blofeld. With chilling precision, the villain picks apart Bond's neural centres, destroying them with minute accuracy, including wiping out his ability to recognise faces. The fact that he does the damage is pretty clear, but it needn't have even been included, since Bond somehow shakes it off like it's a dead leg. He's not a mutant or a God or a superhero, so he shouldn't simply be able to regrow damaged tissue and the lost skills because of the power of love. This is not a Disney film. And yet nobody seems to mention it at all, as if it's no big thing. Which other plot-holes did you spot in 2015 movies? Share your finds below in the comments thread below.
