Guy Ritchie may have been in a bit of a slump, but for those who saw The Gentlemen, they were treated to an immensely entertaining crime comedy heightened tremendously by its ensemble cast. It was led by a massively-unhinged Matthew McConaughey and a smooth-as-silk performance by Charlie Hunnam, but it's actually the side character Coach (played by Colin Farrell) who ends up stealing the movie right from under them.

Introduced later in the film, Farrell provides such an intriguing, charming character who's both soft-spoken and tough-as-nails. With his signature charm on full display, he's responsible for much of the film's big laughs. While everyone else in the movie is seemingly larger than life and just plain chaotic, Farrell holds the dry comedic torch throughout, and it works so well. The man is a master of comedic timing and making vocal inflections a joke in themselves.

The Gentlemen did well overall and its leads surely got their praise for making the film successful, it's Farrell who gets lost in the shuffle, even though he's the movie's secret MVP.
