12 Great Recent Movies You'll Never Be Able To Watch Again
8. 1917
A World War I film that's edited to look like one continuous take, 1917 is a fully immersive movie that places you right on the front-lines of World War I. As you'd expect, it's a very brutal viewing as a result.
A hugely intense, not to mention sad, look at one of history's worst conflicts, 1917 is pretty tough going. Thanks to this, it's not something many people will want to revisit.
As well as this, it's really recommended that you don't watch it again. This is very much a big-screen movie; watching it in the cinema was undeniably incredible, but the script and story were considerably less refined, so it wouldn't be half as good on a smaller screen.
A perfect point of comparison is Gravity. That was an amazing film in the cinema, but as anyone who's tried to sit through it on a smaller screen will know, it holds up appallingly without the big screen experience. 1917 probably won't hold up that well on the small screen either.
So, the best thing to do is treasure the memory of seeing 1917 on the big-screen and not ruin it for yourself by rewatching it at home.
