7. Logan - Wolverine

Logan is a unique example of this stereotype, as he is an excellent depiction of a lone wolf who becomes integrated into a team and comes to learn the value of letting people in. This not only takes the character model in an exciting direction but allows for conflict amongst the X-Men as he struggles to adjust to his position in the group.

Wolverine is one of the most iconic superhero characters ever put to film, and this was achieved through the fantastic performances given by Hugh Jackman. The character has featured in every X-Men film except for Dark Phoenix and even has three separate solo movies, proving that he is easily the silver screen's most beloved mutant.

The character is first presented in X-Men (2000) as a complete loner with an aggressive personality. It's clear that this comes from the fear he has of hurting others, due to his troubled past and lack of temper control. This grounds his isolation in believability and makes his slow transition into the X-Men team utterly satisfying.

Even after he loses his solo status, he still emits a lot of lone wolf energy and behaviour, which helps him become a fascinating version of the archetype.
