Everybody going into Spider-Man: No Way Home was waiting on the edge of their seats for both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to show their faces as Peter Parker for the first time in 14 and 7 years respectively.

While there were rumours circulating prior to the release, the potential appearance of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch very much took a back seat to the aspect of a potential Spider-Verse. However, when it actually happened near the beginning of the movie, it sent the MCU fandom into meltdown regardless.

As with all of the TV shows in the Netflix corner of the MCU, Daredevil was never fully integrated into the wider universe. It was certainly set in the same world, and may have been affected by the events on the big screen, but never the other way around. Daredevil was easily the most popular of these shows and characters, and fans have been waiting years for Matt to finally appear in the MCU properly.

He only had a very limited amount of screen time, but it didn’t matter. In his solitary scene, he absolutely stole the show. Though at first he simply advised Peter that his legal troubles may be over, when an anti-Spidey New Yorker threw a brick through the window, Matt was able to catch it without even facing the right way. Daredevil is once again alive and well in the MCU, ladies and gentlemen.
