12 Harry Potter Movie Changes That Were Completely Justified

4. Dre Head - The Prisoner Of Azkaban

In The Book

When the Knight Bus comes to rescue Harry Potter at the start of The Prisoner Of Azkaban, it is driven by Ernie Prang whose conductor Stan Shunpike greets Harry. There are no more employees than them, shrunken or otherwise.

In The Film

The film added a shrunken Jamaican head, called Dre Head and voiced by comedian Lenny Henry. He effectively acts as Ernie's eyes on the road, despite the fact that his are sewn up and presumably useless.

It's a small detail to add to the film, but the idea of sentient shrunken heads is an interesting one, which suggests complex morality behind the humour. It also makes the Knight Bus that little bit more otherworldly, which is a good choice.
