12 Hidden Horror Movies You’ve Probably Never Seen
4. John Dies at the End
Released in 2012 and based on a cult novel from genre author/ Cracked.com creator Jason Pargin, John Dies at the End is a horror sci fi comedy, though even that description misses out on the satire, the romance, the Lovecraftian elements...
Suffice it to say that the world at large really missed out on this bonkers adaptation from Phantasm director Don Coscarelli, and the film is filled with creepy imagery, hilarious comic set pieces, some stellar character comedy and bizarre beasts realized via scrappy, low budget CGI.
The movie may not have the novel's expansive scope or scariest bleak scenes, but it's nonetheless a thrilling ride and a must-watch for horror fans.
