Another entry coming from Ireland, a country evidently overrun by underrated horrors.

The Hole in the Ground is a recent Irish indie which follows a single mum who is convinced her sprog has been acting a little odd as of late, and of course assumes he must be a changeling who the faeries have left after stealing her actual boy from her.

Of course, that's an odd assumption, but bear in mind the kid was last seen playing near the bloody great massive crater which sits outside her house and gives the flick its title.

This one is gritty and gruesome, featuring great scenery, a tense plot, and a fascinating exploration of the local myth.
