Won For: Best Supporting Actress Two words that sum up exactly why The Danish Girl (an Oscar-bait film from top to bottom) probably didn't deserve as much Oscar attention as it got. Yes, Alicia VIkander's performance was great (but Kate Winslet or Rooney Mara should have actually won), but the film badly mishandles the story of Lile Elbe's life. It's well meaning, of course, but thank God for on-point reviewers on Amazon.
