11. Who The Hell Was Snoke? - Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars is full of mysteries, mostly because it's an anthology best described as being cobbled together by multiple creators over multiple decades without the precise plan we have been sold as a lie pre-existing. We'll probably never find out the answers to some of them - like why nobody recognised the droids or why Obi-Wan Kenobi was a big fat liar - but it seems at least POSSIBLE that others will be answered.

Hopefully, one of those answers will concern who the hell Supreme Leader Snoke is and also where he was hiding during the events of all the other Star Wars movies. Presumably he's old (since he looks very wizened to say the least) so you have to think he was kicking about somewhere during the Vader Saga, but he clearly just didn't have plans for galactic dominion.

With his death, we've lost the possibility of an answer to Snoke's origin as part of the story and if it's now revealed, it will be purely incidental. The fact that he came out of nowhere, though, suggests that his real identity was going to be a major thing, but for now, there's just no answer.
