12 Huge Movies That Deadpool Destroyed At The Box Office
7. Interstellar
Box Office: $675.1 million Christopher Nolan is one of the most reliable directors working today as far as financial success goes, and though his ambitious sci-fi Interstellar didn't reach the highs of the Dark Knight saga nor his magnificent Inception, it still pulled in a fine return-on-investment for Warner Bros. It's no question that Interstellar's hard-science headiness may have impacted its broader appeal, and so it must be one hell of an ego boost for first-time director Tim Miller that he was able to beat one of Hollywood's indisputable kings at his own game. And again, while Interstellar had a huge, A-list cast, Deadpool was sold on a much lesser-known band of misfits, yet still took it to task where it counts the most (to the studio, anyway).
