12 Huge Questions For The Future Of The MCU

1. What's The Next Overarching Saga (If There Is One)?

MCU Secret Wars

The MCU as we know it is over, but there is plenty more to come. So what will the next “saga” be?

We know we’ll continue to follow leftover characters from the Infinity Saga and that new heroes will be introduced, but will there be an “endgame” for this next era of the MCU?

It’s uncertain just how long the MCU will go on, and since we don’t know everything to come in phase 4 onwards, there’s no telling what the second saga of the MCU will be building up to. For all we know, it might not be building up to anything at all; at least, not up to anything on the scale of Avengers: Endgame.

Answer: Endgame was such a eventful film that Marvel might not think the finale for the next set of phases could really live up to it – nor do they want it to – so maybe every story is more self-contained from here and get their own endings as opposed to a grand finale for everything.

Or maybe it all builds up to Secret Wars. Or Galactus shows up and becomes this saga’s Thanos. Or both. We’ll just have to wait and see. See you in 11 years. Maybe more. Maybe less.
