10 Incredible Movies With TERRIBLE Villains

1. Donald Pierce & Zander Rice - Logan

No Time To Die Rami Malek
Fox

2017's Logan served as the perfect send-off for the X-Men's most famous member, Wolverine (until Deadpool brought him back, of course.) Not only that, James Mangold's R-rated superhero flick is arguably the best entry in the entire X-Men saga.

That's why it's deeply ironic how Logan has among the worst villains in the franchise (They may be worse than the giant robot samurai man from the last entry.)

After taking in a young girl called Laura, Wolverine is target by a group of mercenaries, led by a cyborg called Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook). Over time, Wolverine learns Laura is his clone, created by Dr. Zander Rice (Richard E. Grant) in the hopes of manufacturing his own mutants.

Although Holbrook tries to have fun as Pierce, there's nothing of substance with his character He's just a sadistic dude and... that's pretty much it.

Somehow, Rice is even more anticlimactic. Based on his backstory, Rice should've been one of the most terrifying X-Men enemies ever, since he's the one who orchestrated the Transigen virus, which wiped out most of mutantkind. As such, Rice succeeded where many of the X-Men's greatest foes failed. Not even Magneto or Apocalypse caused as much irreversible destruction as him.

And yet, he never comes across as anything but a mad scientist. Considering how well-written Logan is, it's bewildering how the writers dropped the ball when devising the two primary adversaries.
