12 LGBTQ Comic Book Characters Ready For Live-Action Adaptation

8. Miss America Chavez

Ultimate Spider-Woman
Marvel Comics

America Chavez is a relative newcomer to the Marvel comic book world, having made her first big mark in the Young Avengers series and recently joining the Avengers for a time in the comic series A-Force.

She is Latin-American and a lesbian from an alternate dimension to our main Marvel universe. She has shown to have a bit of a temper when it comes to working with others. This makes her basically a powder keg to deal with on a team, which is good for entertainment.

Miss America has superhuman strength, the power of flight and she is nearly indestructible; picture Wonder Woman levels of cinematic battle. Most interestingly, she also possesses the power to literally kick holes in between realities allowing travel through dimensions. This makes her able to reasonably show up in any movie or television show anywhere at anytime.

Once the Infinity War is finished in the cinematic universe, America Chavez is the kind of character that could be dropped into any future Marvel movie or even the Agents of Shield television show.

Casting Options

Personally, I'd cast someone like Gina Rodriguez or even America Ferrara, though that one is a bit on the nose.
