12 LGBTQ Comic Book Characters Ready For Live-Action Adaptation
7. Lady Loki
Now wait just a second, Loki has already appeared in a few Marvel movies, hasn’t he? Yes he has but so far they have disregarded a large portion of that character’s personality. Loki’s role in the Marvel films has always been playing second fiddle to his brother. We have yet to get a truly focused tale of Loki the Trickster told to us on the big screen. In the same way that he walks the line between good and bad, Loki also balances on the fence of gender and sexual orientation.
In the comics, Loki displays a certain fluidity when it comes to gender, often taking whatever shape is most advantageous to him in the moment.
Loki has also shown flexibility with his own sexual orientation, flirting with and taking partners of multiple genders. As a master trickster, Loki is no stranger to altering his appearance. He even adopted a female form for quite some time. In the Thor comics, Loki took on the appearance of Thor’s love, Sif, mainly to mess with his brother’s head and put him off balance.
Casting Options
We already know what Sif looks like in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Jaime Alexander and she has even expressed interest in playing the part of lady Loki.
