12 Marvel Mistakes Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 Must Avoid
11. Forced Romance
The MCU has also done a terrible job of creating believable romances to date, with the only truly convincing ones being Tony Stark and Pepper Potts and the doomed, tragic love of Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter.
Conversely, Thor and Jane Foster's love-in was horrendously forced and audiences didn't buy it, and The Hulk and Black Widow's out-of-nowhere romance fell pretty flat in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Guardians actually fared pretty well here, to be fair, teasing a romance between Star-Lord and Gamora but refusing to actually go the whole hog with it.
While a kiss between the two probably wouldn't seem totally out-of-place in GOTG2, hopefully it won't become a subplot in its own right, and the best case scenario is probably just avoiding it completely.
One day Hollywood execs might learn that casual audiences don't need to see attractive people making out to go see a film about superheroes blowing s*** up.
