Godzilla: King of the Monsters may have never managed to live up to the potential of some stunning trailers, but there's every chance that Legendary's MonsterVerse is going to bounce back in a big way when their two franchises intersect for the showdown to end all showdowns.

Based on the title alone, you probably know already if you number among Godzilla Vs. Kong's target audience, but despite some setbacks that reportedly included lengthy reshoots after the studio were unhappy with an early cut of the movie, the prospect of seeing two of cinema's most iconic titans beating the ever-loving sh*t out of each other is a sight that needs to be seen on the biggest screen possible.

The MonsterVerse has always been let down by wafer-thin human characters, but it isn't like they're anything close to the main attraction of a brand exclusively designed and marketed around massive-scale kaiju carnage. As the crossover that could ultimately make or break the entire MonsterVerse, the team behind Godzilla Vs. Kong will be going all-out to ensure that the super-sized smackdown manages to live up to the hype.
