12 Most Anticipated Captain America: Civil War Moments (Based On What We Know)

5. Spider-Man's Cameo

After a will-he-won€™t-he saga that rumbled on for some time, we now know that Tom Holland will be making his first appearance as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. The 19-year-old Brit was given the nod as Marvel€™s new web-slinger in June after impressing in a complex series of screen tests, and his MCU debut can€™t come soon enough for fans of the franchise. His eagerly anticipated solo outing as Peter Parker is due in 2017 and will be directed by Jon Watts, who recently revealed that Parker will be just 15-years-old in the movie. However, our first glimpse of Holland in the Spidey suit will come as soon as May next year when Civil War hits cinemas. But how much of him can we expect to see? In Marvel€™s Civil War comic, Spider-Man is torn between the two sides, both of whom are trying to win him over to their cause. In the end, Tony Stark manages to convince Spider-Man to reveal his true identity to the world, the first big coup for his pro-government registration campaign. Considering Watts€™ revelation that Parker will still be in high school when the Spidey reboot begins, his going public clearly isn€™t something MCU plan to do in Civil War, if they ever intend to do it at all. Instead, Spider-Man€™s role in Civil War is likely to be a cameo one, but even the prospect of a small glimpse adds to the mounting anticipation.
