1. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) - Terminator

The Role: Dani Ramos, the 18-year-old, Latin American female lead for the sixth (!) entry into the Terminator franchise.

Why You Should Be Excited: While it's become increasingly difficult over the last decade to be at all excited about a new Terminator movie, it is mildly encouraging that James Cameron is actively involved with the new film's production.

Given his propensity for creating compelling action heroines, could Dani Ramos be just the fresh protagonist the franchise needs? The last time the Terminator series prominently featured Latin American characters was back in Terminator 2's New Mexico sequence, so it'll be interesting to see whether or not Dani has any ties to that or not.

While Colombian actress Natalia Reyes may not have many projects to her name, Cameron clearly saw something in her, and given the fine work he's done with the likes of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), the odds are certainly in his favour.

Even if the movie ends up being another tepid Terminator sequel, there's a solid chance Dani is one of the movie's most-praised elements. Fingers crossed.
