SpaceGodzilla's name is really stupid and his origin is even worse. (The movie can't decide where he was created in a black hole or if he was made from space plants.) However, he is not to be underestimated since he is Godzilla's smartest foe. At one point, he imprisons Godzilla's son to lure his father out, proving the cosmic beast can strategise on an emotional level.

Since his hide isn't very durable, SpaceGodzilla relies on strategic combat, which has been rarely seen in the franchise. Because Godzilla can penetrate his skin, SG fights the his opponent from a distance, usually by shooting him with his Corona beam. The astro-monster also creates crystals that enhance his power and allow him to summon an impenetrable shield. Much like a video game, the only way to beat SpaceGodzilla is to destroy his crystals and then attack him before they regenerate.

SpaceGodzilla is also considered one of the most sinister kaiju in the franchise since he deliberately hunts Godzilla in order to kill him and he intends to take over the world. Not even Ghidorah was that evil... and he's Ghidorah!
