2. Hulk Versus Hulkbuster - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Avengers: Age Of Ultron is a fairly maligned MCU movie, with cynics expressing is a disappointment and a bit of a mess. That's not really fair as Joss Whedon's sequel works as an escalation and manages to explore some ideas that would later come to be the foundation of the MCU. One of those was the conflict between heroes that was introduced when Scarlet Witch sent the Hulk savage and Tony Stark was forced to deal with him.

This was the moment that we saw the Easter Egg tease of the Hulkbuster (or an early version of it at least) pay off in a big way as Stark called in new AI support FRIDAY to deploy the Hulkbuster armour. And then sh*t got very real as the suit's capabilities were tested to the limit along with the durability of Hulk's own face.

There was space for humour, drama and lots of spectacle but at the end of the day it worked so well for fans because it was an opportunity to see something truly great from the comics on the big screen. Plus, everyone loves a clash of the titans deal.
