12 Most Horribly Disappointing Horror Movie Villain Reveals

6. Alien Covenant

In Alien covenant, a colony ship from the Weyland Corp floats through space, when the crew is prematurely awakened by an emergency signal and immediately, sets course for the planet from which the stress call came. After landing, the crew encounters an evil alien being right away - sounds familiar? Maybe too much!

All in all, the crew comes across as reckless because each member is killed off, in ways that could have been easily avoided if they were actually behaved like scientists and not tourists.

But I guess that's the true question, as their suits are more reminiscent of people going on a safari trip rather than exploring a foreign planet.

Finally, there is the obvious reveal that just fell flat. We get to the ending where the supposed twist is that the android who had gained the upper hand in the robo-rumble earlier on wasn't the kind Walter after all, but the villainous David.

This was so glaringly telegraphed, that it adds a subsequent flaw to an already pretentious plot that desperately tries to seem intellectual but actually holds as much smarts as an empty can of tuna. The film should not have gone through with it.
