12 Most Terrifying Action Movie Villains

It must be said that Toecutter is one of the most bizarre, yet horrifying, villains ever to grace the big screen.

The main antagonist of the original Mad Max, Toecutter is the leader of a dystopian motorbike gang which, in their spare time, enjoy terorrising the population of Australia, with vandalism, rape and child murder just a few of their known activities. As the leader of the gang, Toecutter takes pleasure in all of these things through the film, and really comes across as a deranged lunatic. His physical appearance is also pretty freaky - his mangled hair and disheveled clothing give off the idea this is someone with nothing to lose, and some of his facial expressions are outright predatory. To sum it up, he's a real psychopath.

It's also a testament to the acting ability of actor Hugh Keays-Byrne in that he was invited to play a different antagonist in the reboot/sequel Mad Max: Fury Road. Toecutter just has the edge though as being the original nemesis of Mel Gibson's Max.
