12 Most Terrifying Action Movie Villains

Ben Kingsley's lovable sociopath is one of those characters where you're just waiting for a trigger to set them off. The main antagonist of 2000 British crime flick Sexy Beast, Don Logan is an old criminal associate of Ray Winstone's ex-convict Gary Dove, who just wants to enjoy retirement laid by a poolside in Spain. Logan shows up one day in the hopes of getting Dove to do a bank robbery in London with him.

Naturally, things don't quite go as planned and Logan shows off his vicious and manipulative nature, attacking cabin crew when asked to put his cigarette out on a plane, going for Dove with a bottle, and taunting other characters about having sex with their wives.

The whole mess ends up with the gangster getting his head crushed in, but even then he continues to haunt Dove's conscience from beyond the grave, almost appealing to his more aggressive tendencies inside his head. He's like the devil on your shoulder - coaxing you into doing things you know you shouldn't, but really want to do, and if you watch this film for the first time, Kingsley's performance will be imprinted in your mind for years to come.
