12 Movie Moments That Pissed Fanboys Off The Most In 2016

11. The Joker "Dies" - Suicide Squad

After attempting to rescue Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), The Joker's (Jared Leto) chopper is shot out of the sky at the command of Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), and Harley looks on as the chopper plummets to the ground and explodes in a giant fireball.

Of course, J's not really dead, and returns at the end of the movie to help break Harley out of Belle Reve, but it's pretty insulting to fans that David Ayer pulled the whole "Joker's really dead, guys, honest" card, as any fan with a functioning brain stem knew that wasn't the case.

We know he survives the crash the moment it happens, but the scene's further infuriating because it's such a ridiculous crash with so little means for The Joker to escape or even protect himself. How, exactly did he make it out alive?

Fans basically have to settle for J surviving "because reasons" or "because plot armour", as the whole disappearing Joker act is highly unconvincing whatever way you look at it.
